Julie Forrest, LCSW-S, is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 20 years of experience dedicated to providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Her extensive background spans various settings, including inpatient care, administration in community mental health, the Veterans Health Administration, and private practice. With a focus on relationship issues, bereavement and loss, life transitions, and evolving family dynamics, Julie is committed to delivering personalized therapeutic care.

Utilizing a systemic and strengths-based approach, Julie fosters client growth by integrating multiple therapeutic theories to address specific needs. Her collaborative method empowers clients to identify and pursue areas for change and personal development.

Julie holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her post-graduate coursework includes specialization in Substance Use Disorders. Additionally, Julie possesses extensive training in crisis intervention and expertise in navigating couples’ issues, multigenerational family relationships, dysfunctional dynamics, and career transition challenges. In addition to her clinical work, she is passionate about supervision and is a board-certified LCSW Supervisor.
